Payroll Giving Donation Form

At Asda, we are proud to support our national charity partners and local communities, and we want to make it easy for our colleagues to support the causes that matter most to them too.

Payroll Giving is a way of giving money to charity without paying tax on it, so it costs you less to give more. There is a wealth of benefits associated with Payroll Giving including how easy it is to sign up, and how it provides the charity with regular and reliable income which allows them to plan ahead.

Many Asda colleagues already donate to their chosen charity through our Payroll Giving scheme and if you'd like to get involved too, take a look at the list of charities in the drop down menu on the form and choose a cause that is close to your heart. You can select one of Asda's charity partners: Breast Cancer Now, CoppaFeel!, FareShare, the Trussell Trust, or BBC Children in Need. You can read more about these charities under 'Our Charity Partners' below. Alternatively, you can select any other charity you'd like. You can choose to donate anything from £5 a month.

If you'd like to sign up, please select the charity in the drop down menu, complete the form, and press submit. All of the information is required to successfully process your request and if you do not provide all the correct information, there may be delays in your donation. Once processed, the donation will come out of your pay each month and you dont need to do anything further.

FAQs

Q. What makes Payroll Giving so easy?

A. You only need to complete a single form to start your donation; everything else is done for you.

Q. Is Payroll Giving tax effective?

A. Yes, your donation comes straight from your pay before income tax, which means the charity gets the benefit of the tax straight away. Example of how much a donation actually costs you:

Employee Pledges Cost to Standard
Rate Taxpayer
Cost to Higher
Rate Taxpayer
Cost to Super
Rate Taxpayer
£7.50 per month £6.00 £4.50 £4.13
£10.00 per month £8.00 £6.00 £5.50
£15.00 per month £12.00 £9.00 £8.25
£20.00 per month £16.00 £12.00 £11.00

Q. Can I give to more than one charity?

A. Yes, you can add several charities to this form and you can always complete a second form should you need to.

Q. What happens next?

A. Once deducted from your salary, your donation will be passed in full to the HM Revenue & Customs approved agency your employer is contracted with who is responsible for disbursing monies to the relevant beneficiaries per your instructions. At this stage, there is a small fee payable dependent on the agency (the agency receives this, not StC Payroll Giving - details available on request). In many cases your employer will cover the cost.

Q. How do i cancel my donations?

A. Please either contact StC Payroll Giving on 01227 361960 or email queries@stcpayrollgiving.co.uk or contact your payroll department directly

Q. What if I have more questions about my donation?

A. Call our team on 01227 361 960 or email queries@stcpayrollgiving.co.uk

Q. What if I have a complaint?

A. You will find full details of our Complaints Procedure, escalation of complaints and how to complain on our website https://www.stcpayrollgiving.co.uk/complaints-policy-of-stc-payroll-giving-stc/
